Hi to all MK808B Users outside.

Now that we know, that there are several Versions of MK808B, I would like you to post a Picture of your WiFi chipset and your Build and Kernel Version! Also where you bought your MK808B.

There are now more than just One Clone, and it might be difficult to find the right Model and also to flash the right ROM. I'll upgrade the post pinned with Different Versions, if I get more Support from you.

    look also here: http://vondroid.com/threads/mk808b-...versions-with-different-roms.4799/#post-20052

I don't have any good close-up pics but it looks just like the one above, green PCB, black heat spreader on the SoC and ram, and "RK903" wifi/bt chip.

It came with mk808b_400j1_29-11-2012 which seemed to work fine, i upgraded to mk808b_400j1_10-01-2013 and it also works fine.

I didn't make any pictures when I opened it, but it looks llike the one above.
I bought mine as a mk808 but I got the mk808B from deal extreme, believe it was about 43euro.

firmware I dont remember good, I have flashed it already but I believe it was mk808b_400j1_29-11-2012. I also have upgraded it to the one joebob2000 mentioned, mk808b_10-01-2013.

Have you tried to open the case and push the little button? You have to push it and then plug the cable from your computer into the OTG port. No cable in the power port. Release the button a few seconds after you plugged the cable in and the led lights up. This should bring you in a mode where you can flash through finless flash tool or RKBatchTool. At least this works on my mk808 clone #2 but I guess its worth a try.

Same thought. I only get my Original MK808B into Flash Mode by pushing the Button. Also this is more fast and effective.
Hold the Button and plug it into your PC by holding till it Bongs up.
Thats it. Fore me this also works fine !

Thx for the valuable tipps. The button method did NOT the success. I tried pushing the button in different ways. Alwaays: Instead of black screen came an android-Screen with warning red triangel. After a few seconds the device start booting normally. I am desperate. Is it possible that a new design-Issue require a completly different method of flashing it!? I received my MK808B-device at 5th Febr. 2013.

First I changed the Size of your Big Pictures.. lol;)

The Triangle Sign you get, is only because you have booted your Stick into Recovery Mode, but theres no Recovery on it, like on my Finless 1.6 ! I also get this if I reboot into Recovery Mode.
I can tell you more if I have time to flash the CWM Recovery and see if this will work.

But by the Way, I see this is no MK808B, this is a MK808 !!!! Did you really have Bluetooth, or not ??? If not, this is only a MK808 !!!

If you would have a MK808B and Firmware Date is Correct, you must have this Build and Kernel Versions:

    mk808b-new-stock-firmware.jpg

You should check if you have the right Device, because this looks like a MK808 ! And because of all the Clones on the Market, you also should take a look inside your Device and verify it with my
    Clones Thread !

    Antutu stock.png About stock.png
I received my MK808B on 8th Feb (ordered from Geekbuying on 10th Jan)
Pretty pleased with the stock performance as of now. Will upgrade to finless 1.6A soon.
    Btw i have the firmware which says 18-12-2012. (3.0.8+ Ifwang v 401j1 #26)
I searched for the official FWs on GB's blog page and i could only see the following ones:
    1) 20-11-2013
    2) 10-01-2013
    3) the 1080p one posted on 1st Feb

The one which is on my device is not found on that page. Where can i find that just in case i need to restore back? Or how do you take a backup of your current FW?

Yes that´s a great Thing. I see you´re running also Finless 1.6a... next time there will be a 1.7 for all Versions maybe also for Clones...
little Trick for your RC11, if you long double Press your little green Android you dont have to push the button for the AirMouse all the Time. The blue led begins to light and you are on mouse Mode.
Push it again and your out. This is only for RC11 Users. Maybe helpful.

Yeah I know about that trick, I've accidentally have found this while surfing ;)

Everything works very good on this FinelessRom 1.6a.
I get 9760 on Antutu(running with live wallpaper on, no sdcard yet) , before it was 9600 on stock rom.
Only thing I noticedis that under device name it say GT-I9100.
Not that it matters everything works very well ;)

It really matters! Like rishidoshi found out why it´s Named GT-I9100.
Same Reason why you can try the Market Helper App provided by Piers these Days at the App Section.
The Name is Fake for Google Play Store to get more Search Results for new Apps, it tells Google that you´re using a GT-I9100 Phone instead of MK808B
which is for them unknown. So you get more Apps for your Device !
