How to root the M2 on Jelly Bean

This guide assumes you already have adb drivers installed.

    1) Download the attached file.
    2) Run TPSparkyRoot.bat
    3) Follow the on-screen instructions

Credit to sunnydavid. I have edited the .bat and removed Chinese characters as well as making the instructions clear on a step-by-step basis.

This will mention the N101 II, this is fine and the rooting will work on the M2.

    fitch and jatayu.kaskus like this.

Yes, enable debugging on your tablet and plug in the USB to tablet and PC, then run the .bat

    Hi regain,

It worked partly on my mix M2 (failed root checker test). After it completed I had to manually copy SuperSU.Apk to system/app (it seems to be rooted enough to let you do this). Then rerun it to set permissions on this file or do it manually.

Ok follow the instructions within the TPsparky batch file.

On second reboot I got a black screen on the Mix M2 and it got no further so had to manually reset it. When it finished restarting I then hit space for TPSparky to continue. It says that you have gid/0 for root but fails to copy SuperSU.Apk and also to set permissions on it obviously.

After 3rd reboot I then manually copied SuperSU.Apk from the TPSparky folder to the download folder on M2. Then using root explorer on the tablet I copied it to the system/app folder.

I then reran TPSparky again as above but when it gets to the last stage it successfully sets the permissions on the manually copied SuperSU.Apk as it is now in the right place.

A bit longwinded but it has worked on two tablets now.

    P. S. Probably better to modify the batch file to fix the reason it's not completely working on the Mix M2 but this worked ok for me as a quick & dirty solution

    pipo mix m2 (wifi version)
It worked perfectly on my PIPO mix M2 (wifi version 4.0.4).
    Two things to mention:
    1) the script is missing the 'adb push SuperSU.apk /system/app'
    2) just to mention that after the first reboot the screen stays black, but you can still continue with the rooting guide. The tablet reboots normally after finishing the procedure

Now the only thing to do is to swap the /mnt/sdcard with the /mnt/external_sd
Anybody has the procedure for this?

    Thanks

Not sure why you would want to swap them?
