Did anyone hear anything about this here: http://www.ramos-tablet.com/ramos-w...creen-android-tablet-wifi-bluetooth-16gb.html

The offical site is supposed to be:
    http://www.ramos.com.cn

    Please see also this post.

It should be out sometime in October.

Quad core Model: Ramos W30 Quad Core
CPU: Quad Core Samsung Exynos 4412
    GPU: Quad Core ARM Mali400*4
    OS: Android 4.0
    RAM: 1GB DDR3
    Storage: 16GB
    Shell Material: Metal
Screen: 10.1 inch IPS screen, 1280*800 pixel

All for a suggested retail price of $199 for just the tablet?
Looks like a very good price...

I might add that this is only be meant to come to the market in October 2012.

Has the time of dual cores already passed since the release of Nexus 7!?

200$ is a lie. W30 will cost more than 260$

I read that the exynos 4412 chip it has integraded many features (including 3G) and I beleive that Ramos will sell the tablet in many versions.Maybe the expensive version will be with the 3G enabled integration and the cheap one with 3G optional or not enabled at all.
Anyway I'm still so excited about that specs and I can't wait to see this tablet in the market soon

I also think so - we will see many different versions - http://www.gizmochina.com/2012/09/06/ramos-xmen-powered-by-samsung-exynos-4412-quad-core/
    at different price points.

Just a few months again 10" dual core were seen to break $200 barrier...and in a few month we will be talking just about quads...

BTW has anyone heard a word about the Rockchip RK32XX quads that should pop up this quarter?

I think until the tablet is really on offer - we won't the price level for sure.
Here it states 'in stock' - how can that be if the company has not really released yet to the public... so it might be bogus anyway.

    maybe marketing trick?
if you read the title: "Presale Ramos W30 10.1 inch Quad Core Exynos 4212 Cortex A9 1.4GHz Android 4.0 Tablet PC 16GB"
of course presale you have enough on stock xD (you can presale a lot if you want, but you won't get the tab xD)

What I like about it: Not much

What I dont like about it:

    1) Who needs quad core on a tablet? I have a quad core i7 2600K and that rarely hits full power. My job is graphic design and video editing so I do need a powerful PC for it.

    2) Plastic case - meh

    3) 6800mAh battery - why? "Up to 5 hours" usage is pretty pointless IMO.

    4) No Bluetooth

    5) 16GB Nand

    6) No Jelly Bean?

I think that's about it. Personally I see no need for quad core or more CPUs on tablets. I use mine for browsing, business, testing, gaming, videos, tv and 3g etc - all of those work nicely with a great battery life. The high score is nice but since most android apps only use 1 core still (some use 2 and nearly none use 4) then what is the point? It's a marketing point but that's about it.

Yep, 2 cores at a higher speed + 2GB LPDDR3 would be better use I think.

Edit: Although running my 2600k at 4.5 GHZ does have some benefits :D

    @Riers :
The point is not if we need 4 core CPU tablets or 8 cores or what ever. The point is that we have better CPUs that they have more better power managment with obvious impact to the battery life.
I.e the semiconductor technology of the Exynos 4412 chip is 32nm HKMG and the semiconductor technology one of the best dual core chip like Rockchip 3066 is 40nm.
We don't only have better performance but better power efficiency.
If someone don't need performance or better battery life he can buy a cheap 50$ tablet to do simple things.

That's an old story who will need this..who needes a quad in a phone...and there is it...selling like hot cakes (SIII).
Same might hold true for Nexus 7

Question of taste and weight - I suppose. I think that pretty much depends on quality and its design

That's really an concern - but must not be..it that stats is true at all

Yap...should be part of the package..but there should be different models w/ different features

    see above

No real concern - as long it has 4.0 Android...it can start from there... (e.g. see the issues 4.1 has on N101...)

But this is only my own opinion.
I think the biggest variable in the equation is that is still vaporware (than even a fixed N101 ;-)). We do not know - but nevertheless it looks interesting - all depends on it final price, quality and features...
So it is worth to keep an eye on it... in general..I think....
