I get the freesize error also on KitKat ROM, system.img
What is the correct way to edit freesize.txt, must freesize and extracted system.img together be same size as original system.img?
Tried editing freesize.txt, but still get the error.

EXT3 is not the problem. For testing I´ve taken a system.img created by your tool, mounted it under Linux and re-packed it according to this HowTo:
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974014
Only difference was I used EXT3 (mkfs.ext3) instead EXT4. Afterwards I flashed this new image and it did start and run. This new system.img could also be backup´ed by TWRP and reflashed again. The only (not really) problem is that all file permission have been gone in the new image but I can CHMOD before unmounting.
So something is different when you pack the system.img under Windows because this EXT3 image created by your tool I can not back up with TWRP whereelse I can backup the same image when content is repacked manually as EXT3 image under Linux.

How can I rebuild the recovery.img with zImage? Normally I put the zImage file into the temp/recovery folder and after Rebuild the file new_recovery.img appeared and has the zImage into it. My rebuilded files are about 2MB great and have not kernel implemented. I unpacked the stock recovery and it has complete other folders and files.. Any hints? :)

    Hi SergioPoverony,
Thank you for this wonderful tool.
RedScorpio updated his tool to 1.04 and now his tool is extracting correctly those firmware that has extra bytes. If I overwrite his tool in your package some parts of the firmware like(boot, kernel) are been cut(hexedited) at the beginning and make them unusable. Can you update your tool according with last imgRePackerRK tool?..
    Thank you.
