    Dear community,

My micro usb connector of my N101-2 is gone... it got broken after 6 months of use... very fragile element of our dear Yuandao N101. I have opened the tab and it's just impossible to fix it.
Do you have any idea how can i install new firmware using sdcard instead of the common method via usb cable?

    Thanks in advance!

    Miguel

Hmm, I don't think the RK3066 supports updating firmware from a memory card, but I could be wrong. The only thing I can think of is if someone can create a firmware with includes the UpdateMe program from Play - that way you can install new firmware via that.

Can you take a few photos of the pcb and usb and upload them to the gallery?

    Thanks for the fast answer.
Basically the component / socket of the micro usb disconnected from the board... i think that component is glued to the board. While i was trying to glue it i broken one pin :) of the component.
Luckily i found on aliexpress those components for a cheap price.
I will take pics as soon as i get the new socket and i will show the installation process.

That would be great and very useful for other users, also I would be interested to see how you go about doing that - these Chinese tablets are cheap but, as we all know, the build quality is hit and miss!
