    wifi and battery problems

I just bought a Herotab C8 which contains android v 3 and kernel version 2.36 now the problem is when i leave my room where i have my wifi modem i loose connection and that is really bothering, then when i try to charge my pad and using it at the same time, the screen is not responsive to my touch, it does not allow me so i have to wait till it charges fully, Now my question is is there any firmwire update? since i have the android version 3 already installed, and what about the wifi is it wiered or it is just the way it should be. I have another tablet it connects find , i like herotab but that is annoying you have to be in the room, and my concern is with adroid version 3 is that for real, any firmw after it? any one can help?

    Re: wifi and battery problems

It could be a hardware problem, but it could also be a software problem.

There are a few stable firmware available see following links

My C8 was terrible, gave a signal of two in the room with the router. After a lot of getting upset I very carefully using a credit card removed the back of the case (see slatedroid video on how to do it, very good) and found that the solder of the wire to the antenna was shorting on the circuit board. Very carefully removed excess solder and the wireless is much better.

    Software can't fix everything.

In the room with the router now have four sometimes five bars, in rooms away from the router that couldn't connect before I now have one to two. It's not as good as my Wildfire HTC phone, but it's much better than it was. I'm using Genesis 3.2 and the wireless seems nice and stable.

The connection to the antenna on the circuit board still looks a bit of a mess, so I'm thinking about getting a magnifying glass and unsoldering the wire and re-attaching it carefully myself. I'm just a bit reluctant to do that while it's working reasonably well.

Great to hear that, I've self order a Wireless antenna (NDS or PSP), But at the moment the signal is for me acceptable.
Maybe later I would replace it to get better signal (hope so)

I also had wi-fi problems bud I manage it.
    My approach was realy simple.
I just open back cover (do not afraid, it is simple), then placed anthenna outside the box.
Now have good signal in all places my house ;-). No additional anthenna is needed.
Besides changed internal SD card to 8GB.

I've just bought a soft case for my C8, so now I'm going to try putting the antenna on the outside. It will be hidden by the case.

I think without using the plastic cover so the wifi antenna can push out the hole in the middle.
And using a casing to cover that
    Shouldn't it be?
