first you need to open your tab
i'm not sure which chip but should the red or the yellow one.

Then you need to position the correct the chip. See the blue indicated hole.
if you hole is on your left top,
then you need short circuit your chip on your right button, (pin 5 and 6 from downwards count)

did you flash back to original firmware?
please check correctly with N90 you've got (N90, N90II, BZ, CZ,...)
the second time, did the pc recognize the usb? maybe also power cable?

Can you share a tutorial on how to make custom ROM from stock ROM?

Here is what I want to try, or may be you can help.

My N90II ZZ has random freeze on almost any ROM version. I figured it might be some power issue when this CPU is trying to get 1.6 GHz. So I would rather limit it into 1.5 GHz max. I use system tune software go set it to 1.5 GHz, and so far reduce a lot of change being freeze dead. But looks like when system is waking up out of sleep mode is not controlled by system tune software. So it could always try to reach 1.6 GHz, load back system tune parameter, then set back to 1.5 GHz. If I can have a 1.5GHz ROM, I think it would be a lot more stable.

I have a dead as N90 V2 - have got the back open and can see the circled points, but I need a a bit more clarification. Do you bridge the 2 spots on those chips with a cable. What/where is the Right button.
    Then what, start it up?
What is picture dead11 - where is that from?
    Sorry for being dense

    just use flat small screwdriver?
While it short circuit, just press the power button and you will hear a sound on your pc (if you connected the usb cable)
