At the moment I'm not really sure. Rooting on JB seems to be different. Once the N101 has JB it should be much easier to root all other Yuandao devices.

I've managed to root N90 II JB with Windows:
After you've installed the drivers via Moborobo, you can use this chinese software to root.
    http://www.shuame.com/
Run the software, check usb debugging on, connect tablet to pc, click on 4th icon on top of the sofware UI, click on 2 nd row, 4th icon (android with root symbol). Continue to root, after root has finished, reboot tablet. (found on SlateDroid)

    Hi,

Shuame installed some chinese programs, which control the superuser access. Also some security features (also chinese) are installed. I was not able to remove.
But I wanted to upgrade anyway to 2012-08-31 :geek:

I just installed the 20120831 CZ firmware yesterday and rooted using the ADB method mentioned earlier (from SlateDroid). Now on Yuandao's website there is a 20120907 CZ firmware available. Installing new firmware (even with a TitaniumBackup) is time consuming !

normally the most important in OFW are the kernel file. So hoping it will fix some hardware issue.

If someone successfully downloads this 0907 firmware, maybe a link in the OP could be added.

Thanks icestage, got it downloaded and will install it later today.

Edit: So I have installed the 0907 firmware and rooted it using the ADB method. The driver for ADB
was already installed by Moroboro previously. I did not try SuperOneClick.

I don't know what the changelog is but a visual difference is the presence of volume controls in the taskbar.
