it would really nice to see how this Ex4412 contender fares against W30 over here in the forum.

Maybe we see user review of both? ;-) !

OK, Tablet arrived a couple of hours ago, so haven't had a chance for a full play. Just a bit of setting up and downloading app...and run a few benchmarks for those who like to know such things.
First up my dealings with Spemall have been really good.
Out of the box the unit feels nice and light, but solidly built. No creaks or groans and minimal flex. Nice glossy white bezel and a combination aluminium / plastic back.
All the standard apps are there with very little Chinese bloatware. Playstore works fine. That said I haven't downloaded many apps to know if everything is available.
Wifi appears to be quite strong, but early days yet.
As someone on Slatedroid pointed out one downsided is screen brightness. Running it at 50% or 100% doesn't seem to make a lot of difference.
I will try and sit this besides my TF300 and iPad2 to see how much difference there actually is. Apart from brightness the screen is very responsive and smooth.
Not sure if it is too early to comment on battery life, but I suspect it is not going to be brilliant. The proof will be after a few charging cycles.
For those with an interest in such things here are a few benchmarks:
    Antutu: 16221
    Quadrant: 4675
    Vellamo: HTML5: 1286
    Metal: 558
    Nenamark: 57.5fps
Overall, for what I am internding to use it for it is pretty good. A bit more time and I will know more :)

OK, have sorted a couple of other apps and managed to put my TF300 and iPad 2 side by side and there is no comparison. The screen brightness is a HUGE letdown. For me the principle use is a sheet music reader...black print on white background. it is almost like the screen brightness is stuck on 50%. Looks like this will not do the job and I will have to look at yet another tab. :(

    Hi Erdi,
I don't have the same sort of problem as in the pic, but the problem is the level of screen brightness.
100% brightness on the PD80 is about the same as 50% on my iPad. I am not happy about that.
Spemall are supposed to be sending me a new firmware to try.

If that doesn't work I will be sending it back.

    Hmmm...glad you asked...
    Firmware hasn't yet been sorted.

    Promised on the 19th..
    promised on the 28th...
    then promised again yesterday...

I think it is 3 stikes...so it is going back.

Trying to do the right thing, and save me $60 return postage, but enough is enough.

Unfortunately I can't get to the post office until at least Monday (Fri now)...

    Frustrating!

it's nice tablet with a minimum fails and problems compared to other tablets .
lots of new Quad core tablets have no Bluetooth or only 1Gb RAM :(
PD80 Vogue has the most nice combination .
to buy tablets i prefer http://www.merimobiles.com(ONLY Tablets . for buying TV sticks recourse to Geekbuying.com) because of nice warranty, best prices and serious trade. they even have the PD80 Vogue in Black and 1.5GHz CPU .
the screen is true 1024x768 and 132 ppi exactly like iPad 2 but it's because of 2 Gb RAM and 1.5GHz SAMSUNG Quad Core much better than iPad 2.
Ramos W30HD (NOT W30) is nice but has no HDMI and low Battery Power.they told me that they will realse the new W30HD with HDMI, in Black... .
to buy a powerful battery for your tablets i prefer :
    http://www.aliexpress.com/item/L006...y-Li-ion-battery-for-tablet-pc/637841425.html
they also have other versions ;)
most Chinese tablets have written fake battery info as specification but you can give a new life to your tablet with this 10000mAh battery :D.
