    Re: Hackintosh Asus P5K-E Wifi for Lion (10.7.3)

    Hi I'm posting here because mountain lion section will not let me post. I have asus p5k Deluxe wifi/ap it is almost identical to your board, but can not get sleep working, i mean it goes to sleep but can't wake it up. and if i just unplag it and replug it then bios is reset i am on oficial bios 0902.

    Also another question you might be able to answer. I have ati x1650 512 mb resolution is working with some patched kexts I even got Quartz Extreme to work, but notification panel when open has yellow bits, and its very slow so is safari default page, and I have no idea how to fix it. if i lunch mission control it takes forever, and you can see screen refreshing.

    I am using your dsdt and kexts from blog at 10.8

    help if you can

    Thanks

    Re: Hackintosh Asus P5K-E Wifi for Lion (10.7.3)

    Tnx to attend me about the forum problem. It should be now fixed

    About your problem. Almost identical is not tve same. Because ly version has a patches dsdt that will fix these problem. So you need extra kext file to fix that problem. Normally your sound doesn't work

    Can you help me get this working or patch dsdt for p5k Deluxe WiFI/AP

    I use your dsdt and sound, and internet work. Interestingly with your dsdt osx works only in ACHI MODE NOT IDE, BUT WITHOUT DSDT IT WORKS IN IDE MODE TOO.

    as for the kext what kind of kext do i need and can you upload it if you have it.

    For my biggest problems how do I fix sleep ? I mean it goes to sleep I just can't wake it up with keyboard or power button.

    and graphics are really driving me crazy with my kexts video card is recognized QE/Ci works (on ATI x1650 512 mb), but it takes forever to load launchpad, and when opening notification center orange things appear on screen. Please help, I have hita brick wall I do not know what else i can do.

    thanks for your time and expertise

    The reason why sleep not work can depends on other hardware that block you to go into sleep.
    you can maybe try sleepEnabler.kext (shouldn't work but can try)

    Normally the main reason why it can't go to sleep is e.g. usb problem, graphic problem, sound, network card,...

    for graphic card you can try use the following trick
    go to your extra folder and open
    org.charmeleon.boot.plist
    and remove the string value of device-properties

    tried sleep enabler no go there does not work, all hardware is recognized except wifi and that should not be a problem. usb,sound,and network all work perfect, it may be graphic card, but I removed all kexts and tried to sleep hackintosh with default 1024 resolution and still it goes to sleep and can't wake it up. problem is i would think it had to do with usb, but not even power button works, so I am stuck. for your install is os x only operating system you have ? I also have windows an ubuntu, and maybe it has to do with the fact that hakintosh is not default partition. anyway what do you think about that ?

    as for graphic card something really wired is going on I got resolution, I got QE/Ci but no open GL and I am gussing thats why animations are so slow. but your dsdt works i thought if you had enabled sleep with some special hack in dsdt, but I looked over it and could't find anything out of ordinary there.

    about DSDT:
    For me it was a long time ago when i'm using DSDT patcher because you only need to patch them one time (if you don't update your bios). So it was for me since Snow leopard (2 years ago)
    this blog was talking about them (each block code describe to fix what. e.g shutdown fix, cpu power manager, sata port, usb,...)
    http://blog.vondroid.com/?p=1152

    Normally if you also have the latest bios (think 1202) then the dsdt that i've compiled should works.
    But if you think there should be a problem, you can use the following DSDT patcher to re-patch your DSDT
    http://www.mediafire.com/?ntbmttklm976b9u

    about the extensions:
    You still need fakesmc.kext and AppleRTC.kext otherwise you will got a problem.
    but you can maybe try the following boot.plist:
    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
    	<key>Default Partition</key>
    	<string></string>
    	<key>GenerateCStates</key>
    	<string>Yes</string>
    	<key>GeneratePStates</key>
    	<string>Yes</string>
    	<key>Graphics Mode</key>
    	<string>1680x1050x32</string>
    	<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
    	<string>No</string>
    	<key>Kernel</key>
    	<string>mach_kernel</string>
    	<key>Kernel Flags</key>
    	<string></string>
    	<key>Legacy Logo</key>
    	<string>Yes</string>
    	<key>Quiet Boot</key>
    	<string>Yes</string>
    	<key>device-properties</key>
    	<string></string>
    </dict>
    </plist>

    so I finally found out what is causing MB notto go to sleep and its the graphic card, everything else has been fixed, so how do I inject ati x1650 512mb (71c6) (1002) into dsdt ? I found this on your blog so can you take a look and tell me if I need to modify anything else to make it work ?

    Code:
                Device (P0P2)
                {
                    Device (PEGP)
                    {
                        Name (_ADR, 0x00010000)
                        Device (GFX0)
                    {
                        Name (_ADR, Zero)
                        Name (_SUN, One)
                        Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized)
                        {
                            Store (Package (0x16)
                                {

    normally i haven't use dsdt to patch my GPU.
    To fix GPU I use "GFXutil" to create a gfx-string that I put in my boot.plist. Don't sure if it is the same for ATI, but on Nvidia it works.
    I'm going to take a look at it.
    Does GPU work before on previous version on OSX? how did you there fix them?

    maybe try this extensions?

    it worked fine in 10.5 have not tested since then, usually back then i used kexts, but seeming how everybody is using dsdt i thought it would be better to patch it. i think drivers do not work on 64 bit kernel and mountain lion is 64 only. anyway thanks i will try these kexts although I have got resolution working through my own kexts but with my kexts resolution is too slow it is impossible to use launchpad, or mission control they take 10 minutes to load.ok i will report back in a few.

    okay your kexts just solwed my orange dots problem all over the screen, but mission control and lanchpad are still very slow, but now they work, and do open, as well as resolution is working. do you know what is causing this slow response, but this is to just new mountain lion features, also if I open new tab in safari it also takes lot of time to open but browsing is very fast. its probably some load thing going on. I can take a video of a screen and show it to you if it helps

    it's possible, but you need an another computer to create the partition and install the bootloader to that harddisk, otherwise you can't boot to install them.

    about vmware, don't know if it should works, didn't test it.

    My motherboard (Asus P5k3 Deluxe) is using AD1988B sound card.

    I installed AppleHDA.Kext using kext helper from AudioFix in Mountain Lion 10.8, but after reboot there is still no audio.

    Can please advice?

    I have the same MB. I finish the installation process, but then when I log into mountain lion I get the following error and then stops.

    ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin: :registerLPCDriver - failed to locate SMC driver
    then I get some more lines

    Any help.

    Yes I used exactly your tutorial.
