There is a new version on MIUI V5 here: http://en.miui.com/download-42.html The version is MIUI 3.12.13.
I came from 3.11.29 and installed the full update without wiping.

    Steps I took:
    1. download the zip, this takes a while...
    2. create a backup with MIUI backup.
    3. edit the updater-script in the downloaded zip. Removed the assert statement in the first 2 lines, and added a big chunk to link stuff to busybox. (Whats the point in installing busybox in /system/xbin without creating the links to it....)
    4. copied the file to the sdcard.
    5 reboot into recovery
6 make a nandroid backup (just to be safe)
    7 installed the zip

Sofar no problems found, been using it for at least an hour.......

I use the firmware found here: http://en.miui.com/download-42.html on my Newman N2. As I wrote, I needed to change the updater- script otherwise it didn't install. There is a newer version by the way: 3.12.20.

I use this version with the kernel of scorpio. This the best combination for my xtreamez joys since I bought it. Just follow the guide from virusplus!

I'm using the v5 3.12.20. it's looking good, battery took long time to charge completely. i Set it on Airplane mode(wifi off), overnight, the battery drops 25% ...is it normal?

I also ditched MIUI because of these problems. I can't understand why other people in this topic either do not experience this slowness and call delay or do you guys just not bother that much? I would love to return to MIUI once these issues are solved.

I the mean time I have my Xiaomi Hongmi to show me the real power of MIUI :)

I am not a heavy user and with the kernel of scorpio I find it acceptable. I got a stable rom now. I have not tried the rom from scorpio only the roms from xtreamer and got so many problems with charging the battery and heating issues. Hopefully the new kernel from Danniel will solve these problems. I start testing tonight.

    Hello,

No problems switching on bluetooth and connecting to bluetooth speaker. I have scorpio 1.1 for miui and chinese/english rom version: miui_n2_geno_4.1.3. You could try wipe cache partttion and davik cache?

    Regards,
    rj

thank you for fast reply rj,

    i think my problem solve,
i do wipe cache partttion and clear dalvik cache , but my phone still restart, then i delete the content of the folder "/data/misc/bluetoothd" , and my phone stop restart.

    Regards,
    fx
