Hello, As I got this device, I post here most of my knowledge about it. First, the pictures (thanks to Goldenhead) : Here we can see that each antenna is on 1 plasic front. Each antenna have 2 solder points. Each antenna is soldered to 2 pins near the Mediatek chipset. All 4 pins are directly connected to GND, so no ANT. As there is 2 solder points on each antenna and 4 pins near Mediatek chipset, I tried to use 4 cables instead of 2 to connected 1 solder point to 1 pin. Result : WiFi is as good as before. Also tried : Disconnect the 2 antennas, disconnect 1 antenna, connect 2 solder points to only 1 pin (2 pins remain free), add 1 antenna, add 2 antennas, connect 4 pins together. Results : Wifi is worst than before. Actually WiFi and Bluetooth are very good on that device. I didn't suffer from any deconnection, I can watch HD videos without any problem. I compared it with an iPad and a recent Toshiba computer, it was as good and sometimes better than the 2 others Main differences with the original MK808B : No heatsink No ANT or GND (4 pins GND) to connect WiFi antennas 2 working antennas, one on each plastic front Mediatek chipset (MT5931 and MT6622) Main differences with the MK808B clone #2 : one antenna on each plastic front (clone #2 as the 2 on the same plastic front) no heatsink don't have OTG power problem (must be confirmed ?) better wifi (must be confirmed ?) About the device : Mediatek chipset same as MK808B clone #2 : (thanks to pdy for the links) MT5931 Wifi SoC (http://www.mediatek.com/_en/01_products/04_pro.php?sn=1052) MT6622 Bluetooth (http://www.mediatek.com/_en/01_products/04_pro.php?sn=1053) Modelnumber: rk30sdk Android version 4.1.1 Kernel version: 3.0.8+ root@server #131 SMP PREEMPT Mon Dec 31 10:29:15 CST 2012 Build Number: RK30_ANDROID4.1.1-SDK-v1.00.1015 rk30sdk-eng4.1.1 JR003H eng.box.20121231.104033 test-keys Exactly the same as MK808B clone #2 Below the stock firmware I dumped and made with my little hands. If you have problems with unmounted nand flash storage (damaged data, checking errors, etc), just format nand flash and reboot, it will solve the problem.
