No, pdy tested this ROM and it runs great for him without Problems. We thought, it would be better to host it here, to have a stable Server Connection.
    Same ROM !

Unfortunately the OTG power issue isn't solved by flashing the stock rom. Even with the original backup I made the issue still persists. As straycat posted in another thread the issue showed itself on his device without changing anything firmwarewise, so I guess it's either a bug in the original software or even a hardware bug.

straycat: thanks a lot, I have tried several ROMs this weekend, and your link to Bob's 1.6-ROM finally did it.
I can confirm power only works through OTG, the power plug-in worked for 3 days and then died.

Now I only have to solve the poor WiFi-reception on my device. How do we fix this, soldering? Which pins are ground which are antenna?

    Hello,

Please notify that there is a clone of this one or another version. Mine is without heatsink but also labelled "Sunvell 808". Got Mediatek chipset as described but Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections are very good. I made several tests, compared it to an Ipad and a recent Toshiba computer, and the signal strenght is equivalent or better. I let it powered on for several hours while playing HD movies and I didn't get any problem of overheating.
Then I dumped the stock firmware and flash it several times and didn't get OTG power issue : everything is OK at the moment. Same with a rooted firmware I made.

EDIT : just see the related topic, I'm talking about clone #1...

londoneye If you check the 4 pins, you will notice that they are all 4 connected to ground. What I see on your pictures, is that the 2 antennas are on the same plastic front, it might do interferences... Try to put one on each plastic front (1 top and 1 bottom), I think you will have a better signal. If needed, I will do pictures.

Hi, I just checked this. Indeed, it seems that ANT and GND pins are shorted at the connector of the "antennas". Why is that?

It seems like there is no ANT and that the Wi-Fi board actually uses only the GND. I tested to disconnect antennas and I can confirm that they are usefull : without them, Wi-Fi is very bad. I also tested to connect antennas on other pins which are directly connected with the 4's one, and it wasn't better. I didn't find any explanation to this... That's strange because GND is the same as USB port's one, so any USB peripheral might interfere WiFi signal but it seems that's not the case.

Please if you upload it, just do it on the official firmware section with name clone # number at the thread and not in here.
    Thanks. ;)
