    Hi,

First off, I'm new here and I have to admit that I'm a noob too. I bought my tablet from here: http://www.mcbub.com/item/10-1inch-...-Bluetooth-Dual-Camera-1GB-32GB-White-150720/

I tried to flash using http://vondroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=739 however the flashing failed at
    <Layer 8-2> Download IDB Fail
Then I got Upgrade Done Success <0> Fail <1> Time <>192084>ms

Now I can't even turn on the tablet :( I'm really feeling miserable because this is my first tablet and its a present from my parents :(

    Please someone help

    Hi Tuen,

    Thanks for your reply.

The tablet had the flash pre-installed.

Also, I could not start the tablet in recovery mode. It is remaining off. When I first booted into recovery mode, the screen still remained black / turned off however my PC (windows 7) detected the device as RK30.

Any ideas on how I can boot again into recovery please?

    Thanks a lot.

This is normal behaviour. The screen does remain black in the flash mode. Your best bet is probably to try to flash the ROM again, or try a different ROM. Please read the instructions carefully. Flashing your tablet is not the thing to do if you're not sure of what you're doing.

You're probably talking about Adobe Flash which is a whole different thing.

    Hi PyromaniacB,

    Thanks for your reply.

I tried the following combinations to boot to recovery however to no avail:
    - power (10secs) followed by power and volume up
    - power (10secs) followed by power and volume down
    - power and volume up
    - power and volume down
    - power and go back

I tried the above while having the usb cable connected to the back of my pc. Do you have any other idea of how I can boot to recovery please?

There's just the flash mode. It's power + vol- for 3 seconds, the screen will stay black.
Have you followed this guide? Tutorial: How to Firmware upgrade

    Hey there Cinizzz

    I also have an N101T and I use Finless's 1.6 rom.
Its a little more complicated to get started with but its well worth it in my opinion and it has a readme text that should walk you through it.

Also for the N101T you have to make sure you are flashing kernel#26 in the kit or else the screen doesn't have control over the backlight.

    To get into flash mode
    1.plug usb cable in.
    2. hold down vol-
    3.hold down power key
4.5 seconds later you should hear a beep from computer that a hardware was connected.

Sorry I wont be able to help more than this today as its late. If you need further assistance try here or head over to FreakTab as someone can help there as well

Yes, I followed the guide that you pointed out, however during the process, I got the error "Download IDB Fail". From then onwards, my pc is not recognizing the tablet any more. When I try to turn on my tablet in recovery using the power button and volume- for 3 seconds, the screen remains black but the pc is not recognizing the tablet. Also, the rockchip tool is not recognizing my tablet.

    Hi c0nK3R,

My current problem is that I can't boot to recovery / flash mode. I tried your method but my pc is not recognizing my tablet. I have no sound no nothing at all. I've already tried on two different pcs with different cables and always using the usb ports at the back of the pc.

How long has your tablet been in limbo because it could be the battery is dead so do this

1.plug the charger into the tablet
    2.plug usb cable in.
    3. hold down vol-
    4.hold down power key
5.5 seconds later you should hear a beep from computer that a hardware was connected.

If that doesn't work try to un-install the drivers and reinstall them

It sounds like the tablet is bricked. I'm afraid nobody has figured out a way to recover from it with the N101 yet (except the factory?). I have the back cover off with my tablet but couldn't see any clear indications for resetting. It's quite stupid that the N101 doesn't have a reset button.

Before I started this procedure, around 8hours ago, the battery was around 90% full.

I followed your steps but I'm still stuck. I tried on 2 different pcs with no results.

For the drivers, yesterday the drivers detected my tablet so I'm a bit unsure if re-installing them would make any difference.

Yeah it is stupid but we do have the soft reset of holding the power key longer than 10 seconds

Yeah thats true but it never hurts to start fresh.

Well I'm gonna let PyromaniacB take over as it is 2 am here if you still need help tomorrow I'll drop by when I can.

Could you take a look here: http://www.flashmyandroid.com/forum/showthread.php?1317-My-U30GT-doesn-t-start-any-way/page2

If I'm understanding correctly, there's a switch which could be used, that is if these boards are similar.

    I know why.
You have not installed RK30 computer-driven, no wonder the computer did not recognize.
Upstairs that correct, re-install the driver!

I tried to uninstall and re-install the drivers but to no avail. For me, it seems that the tablet somehow is not starting, not even in flash mode.
