    How to Upgrade.

First at all backup all you important files to a EXTERNAL SD-Card.

    Prepare Computer
Download the firmware that you want to install. It should be a img file (after unzip)
Sometimes there will be extra files included that require. (you can use them or just follow this guide)
Reason why not use the extra files? Because there is a chance that the program set on Chinese language.

Then you need the rockchip tool to flash your device. This can be download on the link below:
    http://www.mediafire.com/?koja23446mrl6zb

Unzip them and you will found an RKBatchTool.

    Prepare Tab
Go to your device and shutdown them.
Connect the usb cable with your device.
Hold the "power" + "Volume -" button for about 3 seconds.
    Release both of them
You will see a black screen, it won't appear something on the screen.

    Connection with Computer
Connect the USB cable to your pc
If you connect them for the first time in recovery mode it will ask you to install the driver
The required driver can be found on the following link:
    viewtopic.php?f=56&t=252

    Flashing the Tab
If everything correct done you can start the Rockchip Batch tool
On the top of the program you can click on the "…" (browser button) and select the IMG file that you want to update.
    Just for confirm:
    - Check the FW Time is the same as the firmware update that you want to install. e.g 2012-07-18 …. with 20120718.img.
    - the support should be: RK30
If it not the case then it would be a wrong file and try to confirm if the firmware is correct.

Then look below on the connected Devices NO1 is colored.
Select then on the UPGRADE button (NOT RESTORE!!!)

and just wait until it ready. Do not interrupt the device while it is flashing.. Otherwise it can brick your device.

If i press the power + vol- it goes the the screen with the little android with an ! symbol, and the pc sees the device and loads the adb driver, however the rocktool doesnt see the device at all. I've tried different usb cables and differnet ports.

Just a heads up - if this doesnt work for you then make sure you have the correct driver installed and that your device is seen as a RK30.

I haven't test them, i'm also follow the instruction.
self also thinking about different between upgrade and restore, because the upgrade will erase my internal sd.
What happened if we choose restore?

    Hi,
i currently try to update from the "old" 0718 to the 0718V2.

If i press power + Volume Minus together the screen stays black.
If i release them the screen still stays black
If i plugin the usb cable the tablet boots as usual.

Unable to go into bootloader/update mode :-( Any idea?

    Regards, Udo
