Recently, on Twitter, Xiaomi confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi A3 is on the way. The Android One device will launch “very soon,” according to a series of tweets.

The Mi A3 will be the direct follow-up to the Xiaomi Mi A2, which launched in April of last year. Considering April came and went this year, we were wondering when — or if — the company would release the Mi A3.

Check out the first of two tweets below, in which Xiaomi confirms the imminent arrival of the Mi A3:

If you thought #MiA2 was a crazy good deal, get ready for Mi A3⃣! @UnboxTherapy we really hope you like. Coming very soon!

A little while later, Xiaomi sent out another tweet related to the Xiaomi Mi A3. In this tweet, the company used the hashtag “Photos Without Limits,” which suggests the camera will be a standout feature of the upcoming smartphone.

    Check out that tweet here:

Xiaomi is working on a 48MP Android One phone: Is this a Mi A3 series device?

Xiaomi's Mi A2 phones were decent entries in the Android One world, combining stock Android and budget price tags to good effect. The company isn't stopping there either, as we've just spotted another Android One-toting …

Unfortunately, we don’t know much else about the new device, including a release date, price, or specific specs. However, because it will launch with Android One we can go ahead and safely assume it will come with Android 9 Pie out of the box. We can also assume it will be very inexpensive, as the “A” series is notoriously cheap.

We can also safely assume the device will have at least two rear camera lenses, as that’s what the Mi A2 had. It’s possible it could even have three lenses, considering Xiaomi appears to be pushing the photography capabilities of the phone. It’s also very possible this phone could be the one we heard about recently that could feature a 48MP primary sensor.

What do you think? Are you excited about a new Android One device from Xiaomi? Let us know in the comments!
