Where can I find the newer version and how can I get the .img version to use with the RKBatchTool to flash a dead device?

By dead I mean it's stuck at the R-Box boot screen and won't go any farther, the same as a lot of others are complaining about with this device!
Will the update procedure described above work with a device that is stuck at the R-Box screen?
Your directions don't make any sense though! Step 1 says "Unzip the .zip File and copy the update.zip on the root of MicroSD card" WTF? There is no "update.zip". Did you mean to copy the boot.img file to the SD card or do you copy all the files to the SD card or the VonDroid-update.zip file, still zipped or what?
I tried putting all the different zipped and unzipped versions of the file on the SD card and as I feared, nothing happened!

I will take care of that this afternoon. I can't test this myself, did not have a ug 007. This time I'm not at home.

I see you can also use a imito mx1 image to flash your device with the rockchip tool. Or try a finless Rom of imito mx1 for that. Should work. Only thing you need to get it into flash mode.

The procedure at slatedroid won't work because the img file is not available!
So far I've joined 4 forums already that claim to have support for the
UG802-II or the UG007 that it's based on and also claim to have
directions and new ROMs to download but so far all I've been able to
find is a lot of meaningless gibberish, babble and nonsense. Someone
will introduce a new ROM with a file to download and directions to
install it but then there are dozens of pages of comments about
problems with the ROM not supporting wi-fi or Bluetooth or not being
able to install it so it's all worthless.
Isn't there a procedure anywhere that actually works with the img file available to do it?

Renaming the file to "update.zip" doesn't work either.
Also the link to freaktab just takes me to more meaningless babble with procedures that don't work that refer to files that are not available!

    Ok. A Question...

Is it possible that you get your Device recognized with a green Light from RKBatchTool ?
So can you flash a new ROM ?
Is it also possible that your Device is recognized by FinlessFlash Tool ?

    If so...
I haven´t tried this before, so if you will try it, it´s on your Risk... but as your Device is still not working... what to loose ?!
Connect it to Finless BatchTool and choose "ERASE IDB" to completely erase your NAND Flash.
    Then download this ROM: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?3133-Imito-MX1-Finless-1-5-ROM-download
I know, it is not for your Device, but do it !
For a User this works great on UG007 !

To others... please don´t try this on your UG007 if this is working !!!!!!

I was going to try the RKBatchTool and soldered some small wires to the 2 pads on the board that I was going to connect to a small pb switch but the PC board is so cheaply made that one of the pads fell off and now I can't activate it!
I wonder if anyone knows where the traces from the pads go so the wires can be connected directly?

On the Allminipc forum there is a procedure telling how to do the update by shorting 2 pins together on the EPROM in step 4. They have a photo showing a box drawn around the pins but it's still not clear which pins they are referring to. If someone knew the pin numbers to use that might be possible.

I guys, I have the same device. I made the mistake of flashing other roms on it, and now I can't use BT. Every other rom other than the official rom does not have the BT drivers in them for this device. If your device is a UG007 and DOES NOT have the reset button that is suppose to be soldered in, then you have the same device as I have. However. I've been using the Snakerom from freaktab.com. http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?6287-latest-snakerom-from-rikomagic-22-july-2013. I will be posting this update to the site so he can extract the driver for us. He has the same version of the device.
