Re: [Sticky] How to dump current Rom

after many tests, i can say that the only solution to my problem from all roms and kernels known to me
the Finless 1.5a with the 338 kernel is the only one that have HDMI working on my very special N101.
it doesn't "fix" it for other kernels like the touchscreen issue.

now i have to decide if I should return my special N101 to eternal team and ask for a new one.
    any suggestions?

well, i solved the HDMI issue, but i also have the screen bleeding issue, and that i can't solve(?).
there is no guarantee that the new tab will be problems free, but maybe only fixable ones.
i sent eternal team a video of the bleeding, so I wait for their response,
and meanwhile i share my dilemma with you.

Screen bleeding could be fixit unless we paid more for the tablet for a better display.
The only thing that we can get is less bleeding.
I think you will get an answer of eternal team that it was a mistake of them and they want to give a partial refund of $5-$10

I'm sorry to tell you this but this is in fact a Chinese tablet, and the sellers are Chinese too. You won't get one with no screen bleeding. It's just there, for everyone.
Actually, the N101 is very high quality when it comes to Chinese standards - and the price is awesome.

You should just be happy you got the HDMI working and let Eternal sell some more China quality ;)

indeed, you must look at the price that you gave it.
But this tablet price is more worth then like other non-chinese brand e.g. Yarvik xD

Re: [Sticky] How to dump current Rom

I know its a chinese tablet, and that it may have some bleeding, but mine is really into hardcore bleeding.
Also, there is this - http://m.aliexpress.com/item-desc/596535118.html.
they sell the same tablets without bleeding (their words, actually they call it "dead pixels and glare") so I see no problem in demanding exactly that.
I hope i'll succeed in my quest for getting a (almost) bleedles tablet, and if I don't then no harm done anyway.
I prefer investing my time and energy in trying to get myself a better product then in convincing others they can't.
may we all live to the day all mankind will get (almost) faultless chinese tablets!
    SO SAY WE ALL!
    :D

Hi Tuen and everyone else. Hello to all. My first post here!

I tried creating a ROM dump.
    Having a problem:
'Dumping kernel config... /proc/config.gz: No such file or directory
    done.'

Is this normal? I have an Aoson M11 with an RK3066 chip

    Yes, there's:

    boot.img 16MB
    checksum.md5 228B
    config.gz 0.00B
    recovery.img 16MB
    system.info.gz 1.87KB
    system.tar 228MB

Also, what tool should I use to restore the firmware? The rockchip batch tool identifies only .img firmware files.

OT: Anyone tried http://dragondevs.com/viewtopic.php?f=167&t=414 this yet?

I'm also having trouble creating a romdump:

I've rooted my tab, have the romdump file copyed in /data/local/

    set it to RWXRWRW

When I do the following in android terminal

    su
    /data/romdump

    I get the message
    sh: /data/romdump: not found

    What I doing wrong?

Sorry for the questions, I'm new at this
